- This is a pre-solicitation notice only. This is not a posting of the solicitation. Newly manufactured steel abrasive to The Society for Protective Coatings Abrasive Specification Number 3 (SSPC-AB 3). Supplied in 55 gallon drums, 1,700 pounds per drum. 250 drums total. 50/50 blend of G25 and G40 grit only. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. The estimated date of posting is August 12, 2004. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time. Facsimile proposals/quotes will not be accepted. Solicitation number N00406-04-T-2279 shall be posted on the NECO website only. The solicitation shall not be posted on FedBizOpps. Please note: After an initial evaluation of offers based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation, FISC, Puget Sound intends to conduct an on-line, anonymous, competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by a third-party reverse auction provider: Procuri.com (www.govacutions.procuri.com).
