- This proposed procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC Code 2819, NAICS 325188; small business size standard 1,000 employees. Furnish approxi mately 9000 tons (by dry weight ton) water-soluble aluminum 17% AL203 by dry weight ton, which shall contain water soluble aluminum of not less than 8.25% +/- 0.1%, as specified in the specifications and as per ANSI/AWWA B403-98 Standards. Each truck load shall have a minimum of 4,000 gallons which shall contain approximately 11 to 11 1/2 dry tons of alum. Contract is for a one year period from 1 October 2004 through 30 September 2005. The total estimated amount is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this s olicitation will be the internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors may view and/or download solicitation information from the Internet at http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. Contractors requests for this solicitation will be per formed through ASFI. Contractors may register to be placed on the Bidders/Offerors mailing lists by going to the website: http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. In order to reduce the possibility of error and to increase the quality of our service to you, all d eliveries, packages, etc. must include the name of the particular contract specialist for the particular project. All deliveries, packages, etc. of more than one box or container must be bound together by tape or other means. In order to comply with Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. It is imperative that a ll small disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification.
