- The VA National Acquisition Center will issue RFP 797-NC-04-0022 for the Department of Veterans Affairs? VA requirements for Blood Collection Tubes. Product description for ?Blood collection tube? is as follows. Each tube shall be expiration dated, tubes must be sterile, tubes must withstand a force of 10,000g or GCF Relative Centrifugal Force, tubes must be made of plastic, additive or additives contained must be listed on each tube, tubes must have a safety closure that will not interfere with Cap piercing technologies. The estimated quantities listed above are for VA only. Offerors must be able to provide all tubes as listed or an acceptable substitute. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through delivery orders to VA facilities. If offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including option years. This solicitation may be considered as a bundled procurement and small businesses are invited to submit comments to the Contracting Officer listed below.
