- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton, Virginia has a requirement for an Integrated Hardware/Software Digital Strobe System that includes a superior strobe light source, computer controlled camera, optics, printer, cart, and a digital archiving system. SPECIFICATIONS: Stroboscopic light source ? True stroboscopic xenon lamp and a constant halogen lamp, pitch tracking and anti-blinking circuitry, three modes of stroboscopic viewing (fast, slow, and locked), foot pedal control of functions, real time display of frequency and amplitude. Digital recording system ? quality recording without motion artifacts, instantaneous examination review, automatic camera control and storage of color setting for many endoscopes, customizable database for patient management, playback of two exams side by side, exam import and export features, patient report generation, patient exam conversion into video formats, onscreen and concurrent display of frequency, amplitude, egg, and mode of operation, patient education software, vocal pathology education and tutorial software, database of stroboscopic recordings of laryngeal pathologies (80 strobe exams), voice analysis software. Interesting parties must submit product data in writing to Ruth B. Harris, VA Medical Center, Contracting Office 90C, 27 Averill Drive, Hampton, VA 23667 not later than noon local time August 17, 2004. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with a sole source negotiation with Kay Elemetrics Corp.
