Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton, Virginia has a requirement for an Integrated Hardware/Software Digital Swallowing Workstation for swallowing, swallowing signals lab, and a flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing system. SPECIFICATIONS: Digital video system for swallowing ? Professional broadcast quality digital video and audio acquisition and playback, high resolution 17? LCD monitor, lapel microphone for recording narration, concurrent acquisition and display of digital video and physiologic data, precise frame accurate correlation of video and physiologic data, foot pedal control of recording/pause, real time tags to reference swallowing events for viewing and measurement, complete report generator in word documents, archiving system (DVD+RW) for storage and retrieval of old exams, video viewer to enable video exams, three large capacity hard drives for system backup, video conversion utilities (AVI and MPEG), patient database with user definable fields. Swallowing signal lag ? two channel surface EMG, six channel manometry, one channel for monitoring respiratory phase using nasal cannula as input, one stethoscopic microphone input for acoustic analysis for swallowing or cervical auscultation, two auxiliary input channels sampling up to 8 kHz per channel. Interesting parties must submit product data in writing to Ruth B. Harris, VA Medical Center, Contracting Office 90C, 27 Averill Drive, Hampton, VA 23667 not later than noon local time August 17, 2004. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with a sole source negotiation with Kay Elemetrics Corp.
