- Description
- 1. What is the size of rice pellets required? Response: 2500 lbs of 1/4 inch dry ice rice pellets are required at Building 29A on the NIH campus. The Nicholson Lane Research Center at 5516 Nicholson Lane, Rockville, MD receives 1110 lbs of 5/8 or 9/16 inch dry ice nuggets in a contractor provided TS 27 (27 cubit inches) container, The contractor shall drop off their container each week and pick up an empty one. 2. What is the application for which the dry ice will be used? Response: For research purposes. 3. What are the pounds required per the 9 small containers and what is the required poundage for the large container. Response: The 8 small bins measure: length 30, width 24, height 26. They are placed throughout the building and in common rooms for the researchers. The 1 large bin (on the loading dock) measures: length 46, width 35 1/2, height 29. The contractor shall deliver the dry ice first to the8 small bins and what is left is placed in the large bin on the loading dock.
