- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) plans to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to the Chemical Abstracts Service, Columbus, OH, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The object of this requirement is to provide a subscription for Chemical Abstracts Full Service, 52 weekly printed issues plus printed volume indexes for the period January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005. The Chemical Abstracts Service is the only source for this subscription. The anticipated award date of this order is on or about ten (10) days from the date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested persons may identify their intent and capability to respond to this requirement no later than the response date above. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice in solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For information, call the POC identified below.
