- Description
- The Wayne National Forest anticipates contracting for the stabilization of the historic Walter Ring House. The structure is a sandstone block building located in Bennett Township, Monroe County, Ohio. The project involves stabilizing the two exterior walls with a pier/beam system and making interior repairs to the first and second floor joists. In addition, there are several additive items such has exterior masonry repair, gutter/downspout replacement, and a roof drain outlet pipe that will be included if sufficient funding is available. The government estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. The recommended contract time is 30 calendar days with work anticipated in the fall of 2004. The contract will be awarded on the basis of the best value to the government and consider past performance, technical experience with historical structures, and price. The solicitation will be available to download approximately August 19, 2004.
