- Description
- WHITEBARK PINE RESTORATION PROJECT. The project consists of cutting and girdling subalpine fir trees within 30 feet of any Whitebark pine tree over 3 feet in height, lopping all limbs of the felled trees, and bucking the bole of the felled trees into 8 foot lengths. From Cascade, Idaho, take the Cabarton Road south approximately 6 miles to the junction of the Snowbank Mountain Road No. 446 and travel about 6.5 miles to the project area, which is adjacent to the Snowbank Mountain Road. Estimated start date is August 30, 2004 with 30 day for completion. See numbered note no. 1.
