- Description
- The Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) is considering whether or not to set aside a requirement for Small Business Concerns only. The anticipated requirement is for the procurement of Direct Supply Natural Gas (DSNG) (NSN: 6830-01-318-5797) for the Central Region of the United States, in the States of Illinois, Kansas and Missouri. The effort reflects an estimated annual requirement of 1,738,554 Dekatherms Firm equivalent and interruptible (IT) transportation with a thirty-six (36) month delivery period commencing 01 October 2005. Supply management is required for this effort. The NAICS Code is 211111, and the size standard is 500 employees. Please be advised that if a small business was to receive an award as a prime contractor as a result of a small business set-aside, the small business must furnish direct supply natural gas from a well owned and operated by a small business producer(s), which is defined by the Small Business Administration to include all affiliates and subsidiaries. The Government will use responses from this Sources Sought Synopsis to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Your response should include the following: (1) a positive statement of your intent to submit a proposal for this requirement as a prime contractor; (2) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, locations, dollar amounts, points of contact, and telephone numbers; and (3) the size of your company (i.e. Small Business, 8(a), HubZone, Women Owned Small Business, Veteran, etc.).
