- NOTICE Subject: Telephone Upgrade System (1435-04-04-RFP 36352) The Government is amending the solicitation as follows: Section B.1.1-Schedule is revised as follows: ? 27 Jul 04 - Release Request for Proposal; ? 02 Aug 04 - Deadline to request On-Site Visit; ? 04 Aug 04 - Opportunity for On-Site Visit; ? 11 Aug 04 at 11:00 AM (EST) - Final Deadline for Email Questions; ? 27 Aug 04 Fri at 11:00AM (EST) - Proposal Submission Deadline; ? 30 Aug to 15 Sept 04 - Review of Proposals and Discussions; ? 21 Sept 04 - Contract Award; ? 24 Sept 04 - Post Award Conference. Following questions that came up. In the statement of work it requests an Avaya S8100 Media Server, G600 Media Gateway, and a P330. What are you expecting to achieve with this IP Solution? Will you converge voice and data? Will you be using the existing data network? Please describe the network to include the main site and other sites linked? How many sites do you have, or plan to have? Is there an existing WAN link between sites? If so, what type of link is it? What bandwidth does it provide? How much inter-site voice traffic is expected? How much inter-site data is expected? What existing LAN infrastructure is already present? How much traffic is passed over the LAN? What would be implications of passing additional voice and data traffic over the LAN? Will you be doing 4 digit dialing between offices? How many digital sets/stations? Required number of programmable btns for digital sets? How many Analog sets/stations? How many IP Series sets? How many TTY sets are required? What type or what are the special needs? How many PRI's will the new system need to support? How many regular CO Lines will the new system need to support? How many voice mail ports? Number of Users/RTU for v/m (# voice mail boxes)? 1.The solicitation provides for e mail submittal of the proposal and an electronic copy of the proposal on compact disc (CD format) how many Hard copy proposals are required to be submitted of the Technical, Management and Past Performance Volume and the Price Proposal Volume? 2. If the proposal is submitted electronically on August 27th when must the hard copies be received? 3. The AVAYA s8100 Switch has been discontinued is it acceptable to propose on an AVAYA s8300? 4.. Is any of the required Training to be given to personnel who are Blind or Severely Disabled?
