Description
The purpose of this modification is to provide answers to the following questions we have received: Question 1: 1. Please elaborate on Task (project) management cap. Would this be an MS project TASK or an OUTLOOK TASK, etc..... Answer 1: MS Project task. Question 2: Is their a need to integrate with a larger strategic initiative. Answer 2: No. Question 3: Just how elaborate of a Document Management Solution is required (See answers reflected below for each subquestion) a) are we going to manage to the record level Answer: No. b) do you require multiple versions (major and minor) Answer: Yes. c) does any of the documents need to be immutable. Answer: No. d) are Audit trails required, what security issues exist? Answer: Yes, we would like to have a capability to track who makes changes to documents. e) do any of these "managed documents" need to be converted from their original format i.e. WORD to PDF? Answer: No. f) What are a list of the "content" sources which will then enter into the "Managed environment" (i.e. PDF, WORD, FAX, etc)? Answer: A complete list of the sources does not currently exist. New project will be implemented using this tool. g) If non-electronic sources of these documents exist, is there a backlog of documents that need scanned and entered into the system? Answer: No. h) If so, are these documents structured (have typed, static fields for titles, keywords, etc.), or will they require manual indexing? Answer: N/A Question 4: Is this server dedicated to the proposed solution or will it be shared with other apps. Answer 4: Dedicated. Question 5: Do you have access to SQL Server (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, etc....) Answer 5: Access to SQL Server. Question 6: How many documents are you planning to store. Answer 6: approx. 500 documents. Question 7: Will there be a need to access "managed documents" from outside the proposed solution. Answer 7: No. Question 8: Are you looking for a package solution? What about a package solution with custom coding? Answer 8: We are not looking for a solution which requires custom coding in set-up. What we want is a tools ready to run out of the box and for which any modification in set-up we are able to do ourselves.
