- Description
- The General Services Administration is requesting proposals from renewable electric generation suppliers to provide renewable energy certificates (RECs) to GSA facilities in the GSA?s Great Lakes Region. The successful offeror will supply RECs for a contract term of one (1) year beginning on October 1, 2004. An additional extension period of up to six (6) months is available. The annual REC requirement for the solicitation is 60,000,000 kWhs. The procurement method will be a competitive negotiated Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with Part 12 (Commercial Item) of the FAR. This announcement constitutes the presolicitation notice and the synopsis. The Government intends to award a contract to the offeror that offers the lowest price for RECs and meets the solicitation's minimum technical requirements. Supplier technical responses to the solicitation are due no later than 2:00 p.m. on September 28, 2004 at the GSA Bid Room (see solicitation for address). Pricing will be submitted in accordance with the solicitation on October 12, 2004 no later than 10 a.m. This procurement is being conducted on an unrestricted basis.
