- ?This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.? The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following items: Comtech CDM-550 N/W Modem with CDM VMI, Manual, quantity 2 each; CDM-600 Satellite Modem with CDM-600 VMI, Manual, quantity 2 each; 70/140 MHz IF (.02 PPM) with external Upgrade, quantity 2 each; standard and 8PSK Upgrade, quantity 2 each. It is expected to place a firm fixed price order with Comtech EF Data. Comtech EF Data is the only source because their modem is the only modem authorized by the Navy for use with a SubHDR terminal over the DSCS satellite. Required delivery is six weeks after award, F.O. B. Destination Naval Station Newport, RI. Size standard is 750 employees. A formal RFQ will be available on our web site around 8/4/04. Offers should include price and delivery terms. Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating of DO-C9 applies. Offers must be submitted to Commercial Acquisition Department, Building 11, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Code 591, SimonpietriDrive, Newport, Rhode Island 02841-1708 or may be faxed to 401-832-4820.
