Description
?This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.? The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport is planning to procure a total of 17 WSQ-9 Electrical Hull Fittings (includes the body and insert) (EHF), per Government drawings and specifications. Base quantity is 4 units, with one option for 4 more and a second option for nine more. To be considered for award, an offeror must be NAVSEA SUBSAFE-certified by the time of solicitation closing. Procurement will be a 100% small business set-aside, with a Best Value evaluation scheme. Technical factors are: technical capability (ability to meet the aggressive delivery schedule is critical) and past performance. F.O.B. Destination, with some units anticipated to be delivered to Puget Naval Shipyard and some to Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Delivery of base quantity is due by 01 SEP 2005, with Option 1 units due by 01 SEP 2006 and option 2 units by 01 AUG 2007 (if option exercised). Contract will be Firm Fixed Price. Anticipated RFP release date is: o/a 24 AUG 2004. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
