- Description
- 66--Seismometers. The Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) requires broadband seismometers (STS-2 brand name or equal) with installation that meet USGS-GSN (United States Geological Survey - Global Seismic Network) performance specifications. Salient characteristics: below the LNM of the earth between 0.083 and 10 HZ; flat to velocity in the period band of 0.0083 Hz and 50 Hz; calibration enable, posititve true +5V; automatic and external command mass re-centering logic; +/-20V differential signal out; 140 dB linear dynamic range in the pass band (10-0.03 Hz); -60 db cross-axis coupling. The items are procured using the "commercial items" procedures in Part 12 of the FAR. It is anticipated a basic year contract with two twelve month option years will result from this requirement. The solicitation is expected to be electronically available on or about August 16, 2004 with an expected 20 day response time. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
