Description
The FAA has a requirement to install Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range/Distance Measuring Equipment (VOR/DME) navigation aids at two locations (JFK Memorial Airport, Wisconsin and at Rice Lake Regional Airport, Wisconsin). The purpose of this market survey is to identify potential sources for the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of VOR/DME systems at the two locations mentioned above. In addition, this survey seeks cost estimates directly associated with the equipment and the efforts needed to satisfy FAA requirements. Specifically we request availability and a rough order of magnitude of cost information for the following: 1. Two VOR/DME systems including associated antenna systems and a recommended list of supply of spare parts. 2. Installation of VOR/DME facility at JFK Memorial Airport, Wisconsin. 3. Installation of VOR/DME facility Rice Lake Regional Airport, Wisconsin. 4. Site and Depot Level Support for 5 and 10 year options. In order to operate in the National Airspace (NAS) the VOR/DME equipment must, at a minimum, satisfy the Code of Federal Regulations navigation facility requirements of 14 CFR 171 relating to scope of VOR/DME facility performance, installation, maintenance and operation. For your use, as guidance only, in responding to this survey; a draft functional performance requirements document is provided in the attachment to this announcement. It is anticipated that the facilities will be owned and operated by the FAA. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited, or reimburse the submitters any costs incurred in the preparation of, and the submission of information in response to this survey. Please provide submittals in response to this survey to the Federal Aviation Administration, 800 Independence Ave., SW., Washington, D.C. 20591 Attn: Troy Teachey, Contracting Officer, ATO-A. Submittals should not be received later than 6 September 2004.
