- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quotation (RFQ) 0153793 is assigned and shall be referenced on any quotation. All incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-24. This solicitation is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and a Small Business - Small Purchase Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334290, with a business standard size of 750 employees. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of this solicitation document will not be available. This site provides downloading instructions. Should any future information be publicized regarding this acquisition including solicitation amendments, it shall be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to solicit and negotiate with Ten-Tec, Inc. 1185 Dolly Parton Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862-3710, the sole manufacturer, for the purchase of the following HF receiver products: (1) Quantity of 12 each, HF DSP Receiver with front Panel, Part No. RX-340; (2) Quantity of 30 each of HF DSP Receiver, Part No. RX-331; and (3) Quantity of 30 each of High Stability option for RX-331, Part No. TCXO. The purchase of the specific model number will be installed into an existing mission critical system and must be compatible with equipment currently owned by the FBI. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This action shall result in a Firm-Fixed Price, One-Time Buy type contract. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The Standard Commercial Warranty is for one year. FOB Destination: FBI, ERF Bldg., Quantico, VA 22135. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all information received with fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government and can be faxed to (703)339-2750. All information shall be clearly marked with RFQ#0153793, no later than August 19, 2004, at 4:00 PM, EST., attention: Janice Williams. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
