- Description
- The US Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service in Parlier, Ca has a requirement for a Bio Rad Gel Spot Cutter 165-7064 & UV Enclosure Spot Cutter 165-7045. The above equipment will be used with our existing Bio-Rad protein 1D/2D gel electrophoresis apparatus & Bio-Rad FX gel imaging system for protein analysis. The PDquest software which is apart of the FX gel imaging system accurately controls the gel spot cutter to identify and cut proteins from gels. Because proteins are labeled with fluorescent dye and illuminated under UV light signals of protein spot can only be detected and collected by this spot cutter. The USDA intends on negotiating with the only known source Bio-Rad. A RFQ is not available for this procurement action.
