Description
The Inter-American Foundation (IAF) through Bureau of the Public Debt, Department of the Treasury, intends to award a simplified acquisition purchase order on a sole source basis to Catholic University of Chile, Avendia Brasile # 2241 PISO6, Valparafso-Chile for support services related to creation of a network of educational and research institutions that promote knowledge exchange. The IAF, through the Contractor, intends to issue a dialogue and discussion among civil society, business leaders and educators to use corporate social responsibility in Latin America to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants. The Contractor shall perform the following tasks: 1) Conduct a five- day planning meeting during the last week of August 2004. 2) Develop a strategy that seeks financial sustainability for this initiative. 3) Launch the Network at the III Inter American Conference on Corporate and Social Responsibility. 4) Create a web page for virtual communication on the subject. 5) Develop a monitoring plan for the project. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. Public Debt will consider all affirmative responses received no later than August 11, 2004. Affirmative responses shall reference IA-AAEXE-2004-0009 and shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide the required services or functional equivalent at terms more advantageous to the Government. Requests for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered affirmative responses. If no affirmative response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all requirements and that it is more advantageous to the Government, a sole-source award will be made to the Catholic University of Chile.
