- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is soliciting sources for the full and open competitive procurement of the following items: 1) Retsch Planetary Ball Mill PM 100 for 120 V, 50/60 Hz, with 1 grinding station, speed ratio 1:-2, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL in accordance with attached specifications herein. Quantity one (1) each. 2) Grinding jar ?comfort? PM 100, zirconium oxide, 250 mL, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL in accordance with attached specifications herein. Quantity one (1) each. 3) 0.5 kg 3mm yttrium-stabilized zirconium oxide media, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL in accordance with attached specifications herein. Quantity one (1) each. 4) Safety closure device for grinding jar ?comfort? 250mL BRAND NAME OR EQUAL in accordance with attached specifications herein. Quantity one (1) each. The resulting Purchase Order shall be Firm Fixed Price. The source selection decision will be based upon overall best value to the BEP, price and non-price factors considered in accordance with Evaluation Criteria attached herein. The Government will award an order resulting from this quotation to the responsible firm with favorable past performance whose quotation is reasonable in price, conforms to the terms of the RFQ and represents the best overall value to the Government. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination to BEP located in Washington, DC. All interested businesses are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be made on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, and point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNs number, and size status (i.e., large business, small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). Quotations are due on August 10, 2004 by 3:00 P.M. Eastern Standard time. Quotations may be mailed to the BEP Office of Procurement, Attn: Christina Tayman, 14th and C Sts, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20228-0001 or faxed to Christina Tayman at (202) 874-2200 or (202) 874-3235. All responsible sources may submit an offer upon receipt of the RFQ, this, shall be considered by the Agency. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses (see numbered note 1). If a response is not received from two or more small business quoters, the procurement will automatically convert to an unrestricted status.
