- Description
- The Navy has a requirement for engineering services and technical support to assist in the development of Valve-Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) battery trays. The specific areas of support include completion of a drawing package for the trays, fabrication of prototype samples of the battery trays, and development of a heat treatment process to achieve the specified strength. A fixed-price contract modification is anticipated. The Navy intends to solicit and negotiate this contract modification on a sole-source basis to Exide Technologies, Aurora, IL based on FAR 6.302-1, only one source capable of meeting the Government?s requirements. The period of performance is estimated to be five months. The applicable NAICS Classification is 541330 and the size standard is $20M annual revenues.
