Description

DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION FOR CONCESSION CONTRACTS TO PROVIDE GUIDED BACKPACKING FOR YOUTHS UNDER THE AGE OF 21 WITHIN GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK The National Park Service intends to issue a Prospectus for two concession contracts to provide guided backpacking for youths, under the age of 21, on designated trails and at designated backcountry campsites in Grand Teton National Park. Offerors that are selected as the new concessioners are not obliged to purchase any personal property (equipment and supplies) utilized by the existing concessioners in their operations. The existing concession permits between the National Park Service and the existing concessioners expire by limitation of time on December 31, 2004. The Director, pursuant to 36CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing concessioners are both preferred Offerors for the new contracts. Two contracts will be issued for this commercial service, CC-GRTE034 and CC-GRTE038. The length of the new contracts will be for ten (10) years. Any offer, including that of the existing concessioers must be received by the Chief , Business Resources Division, Grand Teton National Park, PO Box 170, Moose, WY 83012 (FedEx address Moose Warehouse, Moose, WY 83012) no later than 4:00pm October 18, 2004 to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract. Effective Date: The Prospectus will be issued for a 90 day response period under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due on October 18, 2004, no later than 4:00pm. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via FedEx or $30 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a FedEx package.
