- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management's Malta Field Office has a requirement to have trees trimmed at a single site. Trees to be trimmed are mature cottonwood that have been identified. Trimming shall be done to eliminate dead branches larger than 2-1/2 inch in diameter and balance remaining branches and weight of the trees. All debris from trimmed trees shall be treated as slash to be chipped into mulch. Slash under 2-1/2 inch diameter with existing bark and leaves shall be chipped. All other material shall be treated as firewood bucked into 18 inch long pieces. Chipped slash shall be scattered and stumps shall be cut or milled off flush with the ground surface. Firewood shall be segregated and piled as directed. >>>>> Line Items: 0001 Mobility, 1 ls and 0002 Trimming Trees, 16 ea. >>>>> A site tour is scheduled for Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 8 a.m. at the Malta Field Office located at 501 S 2nd St. East in Malta Montana. The RFQ will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about July 28, 2004 and quotes will be due by the close of business on August 22, 2004. Award is tentatively scheduled for August 24, 2004 with start date of August 30, 2004. The project is estimated to take 40 calendar days. The pre-work conference may take place the first day of performance. This project is a small business set-aside and is estimated to be between $2,500 and $25,000. Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) is required at the time of award.
