Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Production of two BSL-2 Modular Laboratories: The contractor shall provide for the acquisition of two critically needed BSL-2 laboratories in support of ongoing and future research efforts. Scope of Work: The SPOKE Lab entails production of a 50 ft x 60 ft (3000 sq.ft) Class 2 Biological Safety Laboratory. The laboratory will conform to the specifications for a BSL2 laboratory as provided by the 4th edition of the CDC handbook. This lab must function outside of any other structure, as an individual bu ilding, that is a fully-equipped, functional laboratory. All the proper hook-ups for water, electric, etc. must be included in the design. . The TIGER Lab entails production of a 55 ft x 66 ft (3080 sq.ft) Class 2 Biological Safety Laboratory. The labor atory will conform to the specifications for a BSL2 laboratory as provided by the 4th edition of the CDC handbook. This lab must function outside of any other structure, as an individual building, that is a fully-equipped, functional laboratory. All the proper hook-ups for water, electric, etc. must be included in the design. Delivery and set-up of the modular labs will be completed by 28 Febaury 2005.
