- Description
- The contract work consists of a Base Bid to place approximately 500,000 cubic yards of beachfill in Brigantine, New Jersey. The Base Bid includes, in addition to beachfill: the removal of timber piles; the installation of a siphon drainage system; t he construction of pedestrian, vehicle, and handicap dune crossovers; providing dune grass and sand fencing. The borrow area for the beachfill material is located northeast of the project, in the vicinity of Brigantine Inlet. The contract work also consi sts of 5 options. Options 1, 2, 3 and 4 are to place an additional 50,000 cubic yards of beachfill per option, if awarded, in Brigantine. Option 5 is to place approximately 10,000 cubic yards of beachfill at the southern portion of the projects terminus i ncluding: sand fencing, dune crossovers and grass planting. This project will be advertised on 11 August 2004 and awarded prior to the end of the Federal government fiscal year ending on 30 September 2004. The Notice To Proceed will be given on or about 29 May 2005. The Invitation For Bid Number (IFB) W912BU-04-B-0024 will be available on the Internet Web pages on or about 11 August 2004. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors shall download this IF B (including drawings) and all Amendments from the Internet web page at the following address https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date of the IFB. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Internet Web Page. It is the contra ctors responsibility to monitor the web page for any amendments. Interested contractors must register on the Internet Web page. If any of the contractors information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet Web Page. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause for delay in receiving notification of the IFB and Amendments. Bids will be due on or about 10 September 2004 at 11:00 a.m. NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $17.0. Bonding is required. All contractors are required to be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
