- A solicitation for this action has been posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (AFSI) website. The link to the solicitation is: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/solicitation_view.cfm?psolicitationnbr=W911KB04T0064 It has been determined that competition will be limited to small businesses. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit quotes. To receive award contractors must be registered in the CCR at http://www.ccr.gov/ DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Rental of a barge for and the drilling of ex ploration borings for the proposed Small Boat Harbor Expansion at Haines, Alaska. The Government's track-mounted CME-850 drill rig and supplies will load onto the barge at Haines. Drilling is tentatively planned for the late August timeframe. Relatively high daytime tides occur during this timeframe and is the reason for targeting this period. The work area at Haines has a bottom elevation between +5 to -25 feet MLLW. North American Industrial Classification System code is 532411, which has a size stan dard of $6,000,000 in average annual receipts. Quotes must be received at the address indicated above not later than 9 Aug 2004 at 4:00 pm Alaska time. Note regarding hand carried submittals, express mail or mail delivered commercially: If a firm does not have a current pass to gain entry to the bas e, the firm must request a day pass to deliver the submittal by using the following procedures: Two (2) days prior to delivery, the firm must provide the solicitation number, name of person or persons delivering the proposal, and name of employer. This i nformation must be faxed to 907/753-2544 or forwarded electronically to the POC identified herein. This will be a day pass only. All passes are issued at the Elmendorf AFB Visitors Center only. Each driver must provide a valid drivers license, proof of current insurance, current IM certificate, and current valid vehicle registration. Faxed quotes are acceptable at (907) 753-5571.
