Description
CONTACT INFO: To order a CD, interested firms must register via the Walla Walla District web page at(http://www.nww.usace.army.mil/ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp). The government cannot guarantee a bidder will be added to the bidders list if registration is not confirmed via fax to the above fax number. DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. This solicitation will be issued on or about August 12, 2004. The Walla Walla District, Corps of Engineers, intends to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. The group camp area at Charbonneau Park, Walla Walla County, is to be enlarged and upgraded. This work will provide 2 new drain fields and a second septic tank. The new tank will have a 3,000-gallon capacity. Each new drain field will be approx 70 feet by 145 feet, with 10 trenches each and a minimum 15-foot buffer between the dr ain fields. Each drain field will consist of a 4-inch diameter manifold, 20 1-1/2-inch diameter laterals, with 12 1/8-inch orifices per lateral. A pump chamber will be constructed between the two drain fields. Transport from the septic tanks to the pump chamber will be by gravity flow. The valves in the control box and the pumps will be connected to the same automatic alternator. Each drain field will be dosed twice daily. The full drain field will be used for each dose. The flow is 108 gallons per m inute at 13 feet of head from the pump chamber to the drain fields. Work will involve trenching, plumbing to install the new sewage treatment system, electrical work, asphalt concrete repair, and planting the effected area with dry land grasses after work is completed. Completion time for this work will be April 1, 2005. ADMIN INFO: The estimated cost range for this job is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1623 and the North American Industry Classifica tion System (NAICS) code is 237110. For the purpose of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $28,500,000. This is a set-aside procurement in acc ordance with HUBZone set-aside procedures and FAR 19.1305. All responsible HUBZone business sources may submit an offer, which will be considered.
