Description
THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR EIELSON AFB IS ONLY TO DETERMINE INDUSTRY INTEREST AND CAPABILITIES. Service providers are asked to submit capability statements expressing interest and intent. The statements should include business size in relation to the proposed NAICS code, past performance information similar in scope to this initiative (referenced with phone numbers), points of contact, and any other pertinent corporate information. The data will be used as part of the market research to determine feasibility of this type of acquisition and if said acquisition should be set aside for small businesses or solicited unrestricted. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561720 with a dollar thresh hold/size standard of $14M. NO SOLICITATION OR WORKLOAD ESTIMATES ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The janitorial/custodial services include, but are not limited to: 1. SERVICES-Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment (ladders, brooms, lifts, vacuums, etc), supervision, and supplies necessary to provide complete cleaning services in the central heat and power plant at Eielson AFB, AK. Services shall be performed at and on all vertical and horizontal surfaces in the plant, including walls, floors, structural beams, piping, ducts, generators, and control panels. Also included are offices, restrooms, locker rooms, showers, and break room. 2. SITE CONDITIONS-The power plant is a hot, dusty, noisy, and hazard-laden coal-fired electricity-generation facility. 3. EXECUTION (a) Commercial available cleaning products and equipment; (b) Be capable to perform services from ladders, catwalks, broom lifts, or scaffolding?as applicable; (c) Primary by vacuuming and/or damp cloth. Heavily soiled areas shall be mechanically dislodged. No compressed air or flowing liquids allowed. 4. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS-Fall protections, falling objects, confined ?space, electrical shock hazard, and burns from coal fires and/or steam. 5. WORK HOURS-Based on 40/hr work week; may use either 4-day/10hr shift or 5-day/8/hr shift. 6. WORK SCHEDULE-Foreman of power plant will notify Contractor of general areas requiring cleaning as needed. However, administrative area, restrooms, and locker rooms are cleaned twice a week. Preferred method of response is via email.
