Mission characteristics include: detection avoidance; threat avoidance; threat decoy, jamming, and evasive maneuver; night ops ? vision enhanced; low level ? terrain following/ avoidance (TF/TA); detailed planning; highly dependent on situational awareness ? onboard/off board input; electronic warfare (EW) focus ? IR warning/countermeasures. This conference provides AFSOC leaders of all ranks and positions the opportunity to discuss and resolve issues with tactics/tactical employment, training, and standardization and evaluation. It also provides the opportunity for the defense industry and AFSOC decision makers to exchange information and gain a better understanding of one another?s capabilities, limitations, products, and services. Exhibits will be available from the start of the conference, Monday, 25 Oct through Tuesday evening, 26 Oct. To make the industry-military exchange as meaningful and rewarding as possible, contractor exhibitors are invited to attend the first day of the conference, which will include information on AFSOC?s plans, programs, and processes. Additionally, there will be an overview from the SOF Tactics Analysis Conference (SOFTAC), results of the AFSOC Tactics Review Board (TRB), a keynote speaker presentation, a contractor?leadership personal exchange in the exhibit hall, and a conference social. On the afternoon and evening of the second day, local area defense contractors, local military, civilian VIPs, and Eglin AFB leadership and personnel will be invited to the exhibits.
