- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Purchase Request number is FL3AUL41911200 as a Request for Quote using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for certain commercial items found at FAR Subpart 13.5. This requirement is the purchase of books: CLIN 0001 ? 1 Each, New York Times Microfilm, 35mm Silver Negative for the period of 2 years, from Jan 2005 to Dec 2006; CLIN 0002 ?1 Each, New York Times Index, Paper, Full-Service Subscription with Annual volume, for the period of 2 years, Jan 2005 - Dec 2006; CLIN 0003 ?1 Each, Washington Post Microfilm 35mm Silver Negative for the period of 2 years, Jan 2005 - Dec 2006; CLIN 0004 ? 1 Each, Washington Post Index, Paper, for the period of 2 years, Jan 2005 - Dec 2006; CLIN 0005, 1 Each Air Force Times Microfilm Vol 65, 35mm Silver Negative for the period of Aug 2004 - Jul 2005; CLIN 0006 ? 1 Each Air Force Times Microfilm Vol 66, 35mm Silver Negative for the period of Aug 2005 - Jul 2006. The desired delivery date is 1 Sep, 2004. Ship the entire quantity to AUL/LTSA Bldg 1405, RM 160, 600 Chennault Circle, Maxwell AFB, AL, 36112-6424. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) change notice June 25, 2004. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is for the Air University Library on Maxwell AFB, Alabama. This acquisition is being issued on an unrestricted basis. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 518210 with a small business size standard of $21.0 Million. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by either reference or full text and are to remain in full force in any resultant purchase order; FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Item (Jan 2004) applies to this acquisition. Submit proposals via email or facsimile to the information below. The Government will make an award to the lowest priced, responsible, contractor whose proposal conforms to the solicitation. The contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and in Wide Area Work Flow before an award can be made. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (May 2004), DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items (Nov 1995), and DFARS 252.225.7000, Buy American Act ?
