- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 has a requirement for construction to Consolidate Business Offices. Contractor shall provide all travel, labor, materials, tools, instruments, supervision, and all other items as necessary to perform work for construction to ?Consolidate Business Office Functions? at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, additions and alterations to the Building 1, 1st floor of the University Drive Division to Consolidate Business Office Functions. Project is approximately 17,000 square feet and includes hazardous materials abatement, site modifications, a new canopy with air handling unit and architectural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems alterations to create a new centralized business office in compliance with the specifications and drawings of the solicitation and in accordance with all applicable rules, standards and regulations necessary to complete the work specified. Project completion time will be 120 calendar days. The NAICS code is 233320 with the small business size standard of $28.5M. Solicitation is unrestricted and open to both large and small businesses. The construction cost range for this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation will be available on or about 8/12/04 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov for downloading free of charge. Drawings are in AutoCAD 2000 format. The offeror is responsible to download all amendments and other documents from this website without further notices from the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. It is highly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. Hard copy requests must be submitted in writing to Cheryl Weidner at Contracting (04A1-H), VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. No telephone requests will be accepted. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website. Contact va.bos.adm@mail.va.gov regarding any problems downloading the solicitation from the website. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for August 26, 2004 @ 10:00 a.m. at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. All interested concerns are strongly encouraged to attend. Bid opening will be on or about 9/10/04 at 3:00 PM in the A&MM Conference Room 373E, Third Floor, Bldg. 4 at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. All qualified responsive/responsible bidders may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency if received timely. Contract is subject to availability of funds. It is anticipated that the actual on-site work will not begin until January, 2004. However, the Notice to Proceed (NTP) will be issued as a ?Preliminary? NTP allowing for the submittal process to begin prior to January.
