- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with University of Washington, Applied Physics Laboratory (UWAPL) for the office of Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC) located in Seattle, WA. Purpose of proposed contract is to provide and deploy acoustic devices capable of detecting killer whale presence. Work includes modifying existing software, refurbishing four existing acoustic recording devices, develop hardware for acoustic recording devices that includes a low frequency sampling channel and analyze data from recovered acoustic devices. Contractor will provide a report to NWSC detailing the specifications of the acoustic recording devices including but not limited to duty cycle, service life, frequency range and detection ranges under various ambient. This project requires custom design acoustic recording units that are available for deployment this winter. This notice may represent the only official notice. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.00.
