- Project consists of Janitorial Services at the Orleans Ranger District Office, Six Rivers National Forest, Siskiyou County, CA. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, cleaning supplies, and any incidentals necessary to perform janitorial services. Contractor shall maintain the buildings inside, including outside windows and sidewalks in a clean and acceptable condition. The various phases of cleaning and janitorial work shall, as a minimum, be carried out at the frequencies indicated in the specifications. DESCRIPTION: Project consists of approximately 11,500 square feet of floor space in the main District Office building and the adjacent office building, and approximately 1,300 square feet of floor space including 2 bathrooms with showers in the Conference Room, located near the rear entrance to the Forest Service compound in Orleans, CA. The District Office employs approximately 40 personnel working a five day week, except during fires and fire season, with flextime schedules and overtime requirements, which may cause occupancy of the buildings by Forest Service personnel during other than the normal hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. LOCATION: Orleans Ranger District Office is located approximately 37 miles north of Willow Creek, CA, on State Highway 96. See vicinity and location maps located in solicitation package when uploaded at this site. CONTRACT TIME: Contract is for base year with two (2) option periods. Work is estimated to start approximately October 1, 2004. Solicitation estimated issue date is August 12, 2004, with an estimated due date of September 13, 2004. The solicitation will be posted at this website for viewing and printing. PREBID TOUR: A pre-bid tour will be conducted for this project. The exact date and time will be included in the Solicitation package and will be scheduled for the latter part of August or early part of September.
