- Description
- This synopsis is notification of the Defense Commissary Agency's intent to extend contract, DeCA01-98-C-0050, with Ace Services, Inc., on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, from October 1, 2004 through March 31, 2005. The contract is for shelf stocking, custodial and receiving/storage/holding area services at DeCA Commissary, Offutt AFB, Nebraska. The Goverment requires a continuation of these operations while soliciting a follow-on contract. Use of another contractor during this period would necessitate costly start-up and transition costs, to be repeated on award of follow-on contract. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Proposal. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this extension period would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be extended without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
