- The Sueprvisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair Newport News, Virginia, intends to award a purchase order/contract to The Source, 502 Rotary Street, Hampton, Virginia 23661 for crygenic vent cleaning. This purchase will be awarded under simplified acquisition procedures and other than full and open competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The award will be made by July 28, 2004. This notice is not a request for quotation. No solicitation document is available, and telephone, fax, or email request will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this purchase based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice, if any, must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
