- Description
- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase sole source from Hewlett Packard vendors twenty-nine (29) Hewlett Packard 146.8GB 10K U320 Universal DD Part No. 286716-B22 and sole source from Sun vendors twenty-one (21) Sun 73GB 10K SCSI Disk for A1000/D1000/D2 and S1 Part No. X5263A. Only the specific make and model equipment will satisfy the Government's minimum requirements. The sole source nature of this procurement is to provide additional storage for access systems in! support of the Aegis Baseline 7 Program Generation, Program Test and Program Production suites and the Aegis Baseline 7 Phase 1 Cruiser (7P1C) Program Generation, Program Test and Program Production suites at the Aegis land based facilities. These items will be acquired using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The closing date is 9 August 2004, 2:00PM. Anticipated award date is 19 August 2004. All items are to be provided FOB Destination, Dahlgren, VA. Delivery shall be 30 days. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTE AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE. Electronic quote submission is encouraged at XDS12@navy.mil, but the quote may also be faxed to (540) 653-4089 or delivered to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Attn: XDS121, Bldg. 183, Room 104, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100.
