Description
This procurement is restricted to 8(a) firms serviced by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Hawaii District Office. Also eligible to submit an offer are 8(a)firms that are not serviced by the U.S. SBA, Hawaii District Office, but have a v erifiable office and employees located within the geographic area served by the U.S. SBA, Hawaii District Office, at the time of this announcement. FY04 OMA Pkg A-121, Renovate Bldg 672, Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii. The work is to renovate an existi ng 2-story barracks, which includes administrative and supply areas. Additional work includes the deletion of parking stalls; renovating electric service; fire protection and alarm system; paving, walks, curbs and gutters; information systems; site improv ements to include grassing. The estimated cost of the proposed project is between $1 Million and $5 Million. Solicitation to be issued O/A August 11, 2004, utilizing Electronic Bid Sets (EBS). Traditional hard copies of plans and specifications will NOT be available for this solicitation. Solicitation plans and specifications will be made available for viewing and/or downloading via the Honolulu District Contracting Website: http://www.poh.usace.army.mil/pohct/contracting.asp on or about 11 August 2004. Solicitation documents will NOT be issued on CD ROM format unless the Government determines that it is necessary. If the Government determines that issuance of the initial solicitation on CD ROM is necessary, the CD ROM will be provided at no cost to se lf-registered contractors at the website mentioned above. However, the Government reserves the right to issue follow-on amendments to the solicitation website. It is therefore the Contractor's responsibility to check the Honolulu District Contracting We bsite daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. All offerors are encouraged to visit the Army's Single Face to Industry Website at: https://acquisition.army. mil/asfi to view other business opportunities. Offerors should register themselves on th e Honolulu District Contracting Website to view/download a copy of this solicitaiton. Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive a Government contract award. To register, the CCR Internet address is: ht tp://www.ccr.gov. Small, small disadvantaged and women-owned small business concerns are encouraged to participate as prime contractors or as members of joint ventures with other small businesses, and all interested contractors are reminded that the succes sful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts tothe maximum praticable extent with small, small disadvantaged and women-owned small business concerns in accordance with the provisions of Public Law 95.507.
