- The Directorate of Contracting Fort Campbell intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Chelton Inc. for the following two antennas: Chelton Part No. GD 1813, VHF/UHF Whip Antenna, a high performance, broadband whip antenna designed for specific use over the frequency band 30-512MHz, height 39.6 inches. The antenna employs a spring mounted parasitically excited sleeve monopole designed for operation over the UHF band, together with a whip element primarily for use at VHF. Chelton Part No. GV-2432 TACSAT Antenna, a lightweight SATCOM-On-The-Move antenna, the antenna provides excellent low angle coverage and positive gain down to 10 degrees elevation. This single port radio antenna incorporates right hand polarization, with a height of 15 inches and weight of 15 lbs. NAICS code for this procurement is 334220 and is to be awarded on an unrestricted basis. This sole source procurement is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Other Than Full and Open Competition. THIS NOTICE I S NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be fur nished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Industrial Equipment Technology Inc. Responses are due by 15 Aug 2004, 2:00 p.m. (CST).
