- Description
- Renovate Allied Trades Facility (T-260) Body Shop at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. Work to be performed consists of the following features, but in no way limits the contractor to perform all work required by drawings and specifications for this project: Replace/upgrade rollup doors; construct new offices & bathroom/ locker/ shower rooms; demolish old offices & bathroom; expand fire protection system; replace built-up roof; install new restroom plumbing connection and fixtures; upgrade heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); repair/upgrade interior electrical distribution, lighting, and communications facility wiring; relocate industrial equipment and install with electrical power supply. The performance period is approximately 330 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Procedures (LPTA) will be utilized for this procurement. North American Industry Classification System code assigned to this acquisition is 236210 and the Standard Industrial Classification code is 1541. This requirement is restricted to mainland Portugal and its territories. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposal (RFP) may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. The request for Proposal (RFP) package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov on or about 9 July 04. A pre-proposal conference and a site visit will be held at Lajes Field on or about 22 Jul 04. The RFP package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. The solicitation, plans, specifications, and drawings will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government?s best interest. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the EPS http://www.eps.gov/ are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFP through their e-mail addresses. No telephone requests will be accepted. CHANGES as of 17 July 04: Project magnitude, in euros, is between 515,700 and 1,031,400. Contract will be awarded in euros. Period of performance changed from 330 days to 270 days. Site visit changed to 18 Aug 04 at 1000 hours local time. Package available for viewing changed to "on or about 30 Jul 04".
