Description
DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Synopsis/Solicitation FA8751-04-Q0795 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), for a firm fixed-priced order incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24 and DFARS Change Notice DCN 20040625. The NAICS code is 334111 for this acquisition with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. Items include: A rugged enclosure for a PC, as well as the PC itself. The PC must have, at a minimum, HOTSWAP BAY FOR ALL HARD DRIVES, CUSTOM BUILT RUGGED ENCLOSURE, PENTIUM-4 4.3E EXTREME EDITION 2MB L3 CACHE, MATROX PARHELIA 256MB, 2GB PC2700 DDR MEM, 52XCDRW, FLOPPY DRIVE. DVDRW+/- WRITER, WD SATA RAPTOR 74GB 10,000 RPM, CABLES CUSTOM MADE TO LENGTH, TYAN PENTIUM 4 MOTHERBOARD, ONSITE CONFIGURATION AND FINAL TWEAKING FOR MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE. The enclosure must fit and match an already existing piece of government equipment, and the dimensions and specifications cannot be given. Therefore, a SITE VISIT is MANDATORY. The ruggedized enclosure must be resistant to extreme heat and extreme dust, and any final quote must fully illustrate how the responsible quoting party intends to accomplish this. A pre-award site-visit will discuss the specifications further, and the site visit is MANDATORY. Any persons planning on attending the site visit must have two valid forms of picture identification, and respond to me No Later Than 09 Aug 2004. This is because the proper security forms must be filled out and submitted to our security forces office. The site visit will be on 12 AUG 2004 at 10:00 AM, in Rome, NY 13441 at the Rome Research Site. Partial awards will not be considered. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies; provide with your quotation all the data requested by FAR 52.212-1. Failure to do so may eliminate you from consideration for award. Evaluation will be made based on price, and price related factors. Submit a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 and DFAR 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items, with your quotation. See the FedBizzOpps. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE AT 2:30 PM EST, THURSDAY, 19 AUG 2004. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps Site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this combined synopsis/solicitation and amendments (if any) from the FedBizOpps, as well as, the blank SF1449, and Representations and Certifications.
