- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia intends to solicit a commercial item procurement for Chemical Waste Removal. Vendors would furnish labor and materials to package, transport and dispose of excess and spent laboratory chemicals and flammable liquids from laboratory and research services in accordance with all existing Federal, State and Local Regulations. Disposal is to be provided on a quarterly basis during the contract period. Waste chemicals for disposal consist primarily of spent Xylene and various quantities of a variety of other laboratory solvents and chemicals. Award will be made to the offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award without discussions. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions later if determined necessary by the Contracting Officer. Proposals must be received by Noon, August 10, 2004 local time. Proposals shall be submitted to the address listed herein (VAMC Hampton, 100 Emancipation Drive, Bldg. 27, Hampton, VA 23667)and directed to the attention of Faye Dillard. Solicitation number shall be listed on the outside of responses for identification purposes.
