Description
The Agency Of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration(SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services, (CMHS), through the Division of Acquisition Management (DAM), Program Support Center(PSC), plans to award a 12 month sole source contract using simplified acquisition procedures, to Screening for Mental Health Inc., One Washington Street, Suite 304 Wellesley Hills, MA 02481. The anticipated date of award is August 19, 2004. The Contractor shall be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks: The contractor shall submit a complete and detailed Work Plan designed to meet the purpose and objectives of the contract and to carry out its specific delineated task. The contractor shall work with SAMHSA to identify and select two school districts in which to implement the program. The contractor shall evaluate the adherence to treatment recommendations of youth identified during the screenings as being at risk. The evaluation will examine issues such as parental acceptance of treatment recommendations, as well as problems in accessing mental health care for those identified as being at risk. The contractor shall submit a draft report describing the status of the school implementation. This report will include information on the basic demographics of referred or self reporting youth and how the problems were overcome or the strategy to overcome the problems The contractor shall submit a final report to SAMHSA summarizing the project (including all of the information in Task 5) along with the evaluation outcomes from Task 4 The proposed simplified acquisition is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source Under Authority of Far 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest by responding to the requirement within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available.
