- SPECIAL NOTICE The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source purchase order firm-fixed price type to Bio-Tek Instruments Highland Park Box 998 Winooski, VT 05404. After a careful search for multi-detection, multi-well microplate readers, CDC has found that Bio-Tek Synergy HT multi-detection reader is the most appropriate apparatus that best fits our requirements for being able to analyze multi-assay formats. This machine is capable of reading/detecting UV-visible absorbance over an adjustable range, fluorescence with simultaneous detection of up to six different fluors and, also, glow and flash luminescence. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This procurement is not set-aside for small business.
