- PROJECT IS NOW UNRESTRICTED COMPETITION. NEW DUE DATES. This Request for Quotes commercial service involves crushing and stockpiling Type Base Grading E aggregate at Whitman Pit, Crook County, Wyoming for the Bearlodge Ranger District in Sundance, Wyoming, of the Black Hills National Forest. The successful contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials and incidentals to produce and stockpile crushed gravel; maintain access roads to the pits and filler source locations; remove existing vegetation from the production and stockpile areas as part of the pit development; and excavate, transport and blend filler material if needed. The desired date for starting this work shall be either the fall of 2004, or the spring of 2005. Whitman Pit is within a snowmobile area closure and no vehicle traffic is allowed in this area from December 15 through March 15. Contract time for this work shall be 150 calendar days. It is anticipated that an organized site visit will occur. It is also anticipated the solicitation will be issued approximately August 10, 2004. This is an electronic solicitation only.
