This information is designed to give the Department of Commerce knowledge of commercially available technologies that will: (1) notify employees, through multiple means, of an event or emergency; (2) account for all employees (including government and on-site contract employees) during an emergency situation; (3) ensure employees have access to information about the situation or emergency; and (4) provide two-way communication with employees during emergency situations or events. Interested enterprises should respond by providing the following information to the Department of Commerce: (1) Capability of the automated system including, at a minimum, the range and processes of notification methods; accountability and reporting capabilities; and system specifications; (2) Realized performance metrics including, at a minimum, maximum number of employees notified within specific timeframes and status reporting frequency; (3) Maintenance and content management options; (4) Past performance of all government agencies where a system has been installed within the last five years; and (5) a price for the basic system with other options individually priced. Price is intended for ROM budgetary purposes only and firm quotes are not required. Interested parties are required to submit written responses in Microsoft Word format and as an attachment to an email only, no later than July 30, 2004. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued by the Government.
