- Description
- This is a commercial acquisition that will be conducted in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5. The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement to acquire wireless communications systems for crewmembers of its boats. The contractor will be responsible for a system capable of providing crewmembers with clear, unimpeded normal conversational voice communication to land based stations, operational commanders, other boats, ships and aircraft that may be encountered in the performance of assigned. Specific requirements will be included in the solicitation. Award of a three-year Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity firm-fixed price is anticipated. It is estimated that the Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be issued in early August 2004, with proposals due 15 days after issuance of the RFP. The solicitation will be posted on this website for eligible businesses to download. The Government will issue no paper copies.
