- Description
- The U.S. Border Patrol, Customs and Border Protection, has the intentions to establish a formal binding contract with the Local Governments listed below for the detention of persons charged with or convicted of violations of federal law or held as material witnesses (federal prisoners) for the period of August and September 2004. The Local government agrees to accept and provide for the secure custody, care and safekeeping of federal prisoners in accordance with state and local law standards, policies, procedures, or court orders applicable to the operations of the facility. The CBP/USBP considers all federal prisoners medium/maximum security-type prisoners that are housed within the confines of the facility, at a level appropriate for prisoners considered a risk of flight, a danger to the community, or wanted by other jurisdictions. The mileage will be approximately 100 air miles from Laredo, TX (North, South, East and West). The detention facilities included are: Zapata County Sheriff Box 2311, Stop 23A Zapata, TX 78076 Zavala County Courthouse 200 E. Uvalde St. Crystal City, TX 78839-3547 Crystal City Correctional Center 6901 N HWY 83 Crystal City, TX 78839 Jim Hogg County Jail 211 Galbraith St. Hebbronville, TX 78361
