- Description
- The U.S.Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified contractors for the following work at the Los Angeles Bulk Mail Center (BMC) facility located in Bell, California: 1) Refurbishment of the hydraulic elevator which includes replacing the power unit, the hydraulic cylinder/plunger assembly, and refurbishing the cab. A sump is to be constructed in the elevator pit. 2) Upgrading of the fire alarm system and fire sprinkler system at the original section of the BMC and at the Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF) building. 3) Repairs to the roof of the BMC. Estimated cost range is $900,000 to $1.1 million. The work is to be completed within 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed date.
