- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. This Request For Information (RFI) is being issued by the Naval Air Systems Command. The Navy E-6B Program Office is seeking information regarding the current level of technology and capability of the commercial sector to provide Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) in a military environment. Support will be utilized in an Organization to Depot (O to D) maintenance environment, and will encompass CLS Program Management, Supply Support, Support Equipment (SE) to include Maintenance and Training, Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T), as well as metrics data collection, management, and reporting. No engineering or aircraft maintenance support will be required. Potential offerors are requested to provide information on current products and services, relevant history, and evidence of past performance/capability. Of particular interest to the Navy are industries? ideas and success associated with effective implementation of performance metrics in a CLS performance based contracting environment. Please submit two copies of your response in an executive summary format not to exceed five pages. Responses are expected by close of business 3 September 2004. If your response includes information you consider to be proprietary, please mark the information in accordance with regulatory guidance. Please do not include company brochures or other marketing type information. An Industry Day or one-on-one meetings may be held at a future date, please watch the NAVAIR website, http://www.navair.navy.mil/, for further announcements. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS EXIST AT THIS TIME. This is a Sources Sought announcement and the Government shall not reimburse interested parties for any presentations, marketing efforts, or data related to their response to this RFI. This is not a request for proposal, and no contract will be awarded as a result of receipt of responses to this RFI. Respondents may not be notified of the results of the Navy?s review of any information submitted in response to this RFI. Submissions will not be returned.
